Nicholls Farm livery yard was established in 1996 transforming what was once an old pig farm into a, small friendly and successful livery yard.
Tim Gear is currently a holder of the Monty Robert’s Preliminary Certificate and through their tried and tested methods we can now help any owner and their horse with a variety of problems.
Over the years since its inception we have worked hard to establish what has now become, a successful horsemanship method of training “Pure Sense Equine”.
Through tried and tested methods we can now help owners with all manner or equine psychological problems, however big or small. Just look at the following lists and see whether as an owner of a horse or pony you have experienced any of the following problems :-
Box or trailer loading - can you get to and from destinations without a battle?Clipping - does your horse detest the clippers and wont stand still?Leading - are you dragged from the stable to the field?Bucking / Rearing are these problems that you encounter regularly? We are able to travel to you for an assessment visit and onsite training, or we can take your horse to our premises to spend time with us on a bespoke training programme.
It is our main goal to include the owner in every step of the training process to ensure a close bond and understanding of our methods is achieved. We will provide you with regular updates and a written step by step guide about the training of your horse for you to keep as a reminder as you continue the work at home.
In addition to the above we also buy young horses which we spend time with training using our ‘Pure sense’ horsemanship methods ready for a new owner.
